Valar Atomics Raises $1B Series B Led by Sequoia
Nuclear startup also secured a $200 million credit facility led by Erebor and JPM.
Isaiah Taylor, founder and CEO of Valar Atomics, announced the company's $1 billion Series B equity round led by Sequoia Capital. Other participants include Valor Equity Partners, Atreides, Point72, Conviction, Riot, Snowpoint, Dream, Apandion, and HOF Capital. The round runs alongside a separate $200 million credit facility. Taylor said the capital will speed manufacturing of standardized nuclear plants for Gigasites that chain multiple small reactors. Shaun Maguire of Sequoia joins the board. The company states its goal is to make energy cheaper and more abundant through these deployments.
