Josh Woodward Announces Gemini Watermark Toggle
Google executive confirms users can now switch visible watermarks on or off for AI images, videos, and songs in Gemini and Flow.
Josh Woodward posted an update stating a papercut fix now lets users toggle visible watermarks on or off in Gemini and Flow. The change covers images, videos, and songs, with Search support listed as next. It does not apply in countries where law requires watermarks to stay on. Other users quoted the post and noted the option removes the visible mark such as the sparkle icon in the corner. One reply observed that the menu label remains misleading because turning the visible mark off leaves an invisible one active.
✅ Papercut fixed: You can now toggle visible watermarks on or off in Gemini and Flow, with Search coming next. This applies to watermarks on all images (Nano Banana), videos (Omni), and songs (Lyria) except in countries where it’s required by law to keep them.
