@GregKara6 @GaryMarcus @fchollet agree with this and if it turned out this was actually what was necessary then I would argue Marcus was more deserving of vindication than he is now (0% deserving)
Its just the deffiniton has been blurred, back then we had no idea about external tools and harnesses ans general consensus was to add determinism “inside” of the neural net. Today the statements gary makes are true also, but its one of those “you had to be there” things. Or…
