Andrew Wilson Joins Perplexity AI as Research Lead
Perplexity founders confirm appointment with focus on open research in continual learning and multi-agent systems.
Andrew Gordon Wilson announced he is joining Perplexity AI as research lead. CEO Aravind Srinivas said Wilson will report to CTO Denis Yarats and lead efforts on continual learning, synthetic data, long horizon RL environments and architectures. Denis Yarats highlighted building large-scale RL infrastructure focused on multi-agent collaboration and continual learning, with plans to share a research agenda update soon and open source much of the work. The company is hiring. Academics including Surya Ganguli, Kevin Patrick Murphy, Kyle Cranmer, Vincent Sitzmann, and Brenden Lake offered congratulations on X.
