We’ve generated the first early human eggs derived from stem cells.
This is a big deal -- the potential to redefine fertility is real.
A blood draw can now yield induced pluripotent stem cells that Conception has coaxed into miniature ovaries holding the first reported early-stage human eggs. This technical step inches in vitro gametogenesis forward for infertility research, yet the cells remain far from mature gametes and carry no verified path to fertilization or live birth.

The company flags ongoing work on future safety checks, but no efficiency numbers, cell-quality data, or independent tests have surfaced yet.
No details exist on when functional eggs might appear, what costs could arise, or how regulators might view eventual clinical steps.
Many users celebrated Conception generating the first early human eggs from stem cells because the breakthrough is viewed as incredible work with world-changing potential.

This is a huge deal once we can safely start doing it in humans - any cell can be turned into a human egg !

After a simple blood draw, we converted blood cells into stem cells, and then coaxed those stem cells into becoming miniature human ovaries that contain the early eggs.
While there is still work ahead (especially evaluating future safety), this is a major scientific advance.

This technology could be one of the most significant of our lifetimes.
It has been proven in mice through live healthy birth.
And it has the potential to significantly expand the age women can have children, prevent disease, and dramatically expand options for family planning.

After a simple blood draw, we converted blood cells into stem cells.
From there, we coaxed those stem cells to become miniature human ovaries containing the early eggs.

There's definitely more work to do, especially to evaluate if this technology is safe, but progress has been staggering.
Healthy mice have been born this way, so we're optimistic of its potential.

This tech could create freedom from biological limits and genetic disease.
It could allow women to have children at a much older age.
It would eliminate injections and surgeries for IVF.
And it could be a platform to delay (or prevent) menopause and better understand aging.
Matt has been working on this problem for the better part of the last decade and it’s been a joy to get to be along for the ride personally and at compound.
Important to celebrate the “smaller” wins en route to the big ones.
Simply incredible.

If this works and is proven safe, it would be an absolutely enormous step forward in fertility. And (indirectly) a major unlock for genetic selection of and editing of descendants.

@brian_armstrong @clanker_world deploy Conception with same ticker on base

@bronhan_xyz @brian_armstrong I need a symbol/ticker to deploy — what should it be?

In-vitro gametogenesis (creating eggs from stem cells) is a truly transformative technology. The promise is unlimited embryos, made from a blood draw.
As they mention in the post, it’s also probably the most complex cell therapy in the world, and @Conception is solving the hardest version of the problem - congrats!
